We at BuWizz are proud to present the new BuWizz App, which offers users a new level of customization, control and advanced functions.

With the addition of Custom Profiles, the users can now create, edit or delete their own control profile, select the background, add and resize, controls, label them and change their opacity.

We will add an option to share Custom Profiles in the next release.

Example of a Custom Profile:

We also added new control options to the application such as Tracked Steer Mixer and Power Curves.

These advanced control options allow you to mix signals from different controls and to plot the way motors respond to the controls.

We will also add options to program the timing of motor actions (so-called Temporal functions) in the near future.

In order to allow for more complex applications, we expanded support for number and type of supported devices.

BuWizz app can now control up to 7 BuWizz bricks, allowing you to control up to 28 independent ports in a single profile.

The app can also be used to control the newly introduced Powered Up System Technic hubs.

Lastly, we added support for Wi-Fi Livestream cameras which allow you to see the live video feed from the camera in the background of your control profile.

Example of a Wi-Fi live stream video feed in the background of the control profile:

We will continue working hard on expanding the customization, control and advanced functionality of the app in the future in order to assure users have the best possible experience with BuWizz.

    Good afternoon,

I have two BuWizz version 1 and I have tried both of them with the new app. One of them linked perfectly but the other one no. Furthermore the one that doesn’t work it is not even show in the new app.

However, with the previous app both of them work perfectly.

    Is there any solution?

    Hello

I also have 2 Buwizz 1.0 bricks and they are not visible in new app.
    Old app see them normally.
New app see Technic Control+ hubs so i believe i set all permissions for new app correctly.

I tried contacting support, but I was only asked how many Buwizz’es and when i bought and then contact stopped ..

      Hi Michael

We saw your reply and we are working internally to update app, so BuWizz 1.0 is visible.

Any update on getting the Buwizz 1.0 brick working with the new iOS app?

I can use my one of my bricks with the new iOS app. This was a
newer brick I got when I exchanged one of my non-working 1.0 bricks. I’m not sure if it is 2.0 or 1.0 (is there a way to tell?)

I can use my other old 1.0 brick with the Legacy iOS app, but the new iOS app doesn’t detect it.

I’d like to use the new app with both bricks. Thanks!!

      Hi

Unfortunately, we can’t support BuWizz 1.0 on the new iOS app. Having said that, we are able to support BuWizz 1.0 on Android.

      Best regards

Hi, I really like the app!

Do you have plans to support absolute position/return to centre for Powered Up L and XL motors as per the Control+ app? Until this is available the app is of limited use with the newer Technic hubs.

    Kind regards

Hello, Is it possible to set the app to stop the engine at the end stop so that the engine doesn’t slip through at the end? It’s about controlling Lego excavator 42100.

      Hi

We are dropping support for the Lego technic hub, since we will be releasing PU compatible BuWizz 3.0. BuWizz 3.0 will support PU servo motors and you should be able to count the revolutions and limit them.

    Hello,

I have booked 2 Buwizz 3.0 and 4 Buwizz Motors, because each Buwizz 3.0 only has two PF ports, which means that the four motors need to occupy all PF ports of the two Buwizz 3.0. But my vehicle still needs a steering function, so I can only use the remaining Powered UP ports to connect to Power Up Large Motor. I would like to know if Buwizz 3.0 and App can support the use of Power Up Large Motor to realize the steering function like Lego did in #42099?

    Best regards

Yes. You can use BuWizz App to connect to PU L motor and use it as a servo.

Hello, I want to purchase a buwizz 3.0, but im very concerned if it will be possible to use a single iOS App for buwizz 2.0 and 3.0 at the same time? (as I saw, there was few problems with buwizz 1.0 and 2.0)

Yes you can purchase the BuWizz 3.0 without any concern.
In your BuWizz App, for both Android and iOS, you can control BuWizz 1.0, 2.0 and 3.0 at the same time.
So you can control PF, PU and sensors.

It is a shame you are stopping support of the Technic hub, I would pay for the app or an update to allow the technic hub.

I have ordered a BuWizz 3 , so it would be nice to have the technic hubs control secondary functions around the BuWizz hub, it would be a nice perk for verified purchasers of BuWizz to use the Lego Technic hubs as well as to BuWizz

Unfortunately, we can’t support it because it is not our product and it doesn’t make sense to invest time and money into it.

I was hoping to see some programmable features in the app, but I couldn’t find any. Will programming be featured in the BuWizz app at some point? Bricky programming similar to LEGO’s or SBrick’s app. I got the new BuWizz 3.0 units in hopes to be able to dwell into robotics with no compromises, because of the PU and PF ports, so I hope programming is going to come to BuWizz.
