Ablation of highly symptomatic recurrent atypical flutter after mitral valve surgical repair in #MagdalenaClinic #klinikamagdalena. 3 atypical flutters with different CL (265, 280 and 300 ms) were induced, all with concentric CS activation (CL 280 ms flutter is the only cavotricuspid isthmus dependent - entrainment: PPI-CL=0 ms). Voltage and LAT coherent map of the RA done with #Octaray and #Carto3 showing at least 3 reentrant loops correlating perfectly with scar after both caval canullation. Anatomical substrate based ablation with intercaval line connecting all possible critical isthmuses stopped the tachy and after adding CTI line tachy was no longer inducible even with isoproterenol. Great teamwork! Janko Szavits Nossan Karlo Regvar Lucija Barbarić Vito Mustapić

🔔 The 73-year-old patient from our previous Catch of the Week returned. ✨ Following successful treatment of the degenerated aortic valve prosthesis with transfemoral TAVI, the next step was transcatheter MV implantation. The Tendyne valve was implanted via repeated transapical approach (initial TAVI was transapical) six weeks after TAV-in-TAV.⚡ After effective treatment of the aortic and mitral valve, the tricuspid valve will be reevaluated.❔ In this scenario, when would you approach reevaluation and possible intervention for tricuspid regurgitation?#Tendyne #MitralValve #HeartTeam #CatchOfTheWeek7Prof. Dr. med. Modified Carlevale TechniqueEduardo Roditi, a former Mexican fellow here at the University Eye Hospital in Bochum, and I have just published this interesting surgical video (2:22 min) of our own modification of the original Carlevale IOL technique. What is new?No flaps, no extra sclerotomies, no scleral sutures are needed. A truly minimally invasive surgical technique that you may want to consider for your patients.Have a look here:http://eyetu.be/jebonuroji

For a change, something else than the knee joint! It is currently unknown to what degree surgical or nonoperative treatment of acromioclavicular dislocation influences the development of osteoarthritis. This systematic review with meta-analysis, comprising 94 studies, categorized seven treatment categories based on anatomical variation in the reattachment of ligaments (e.g. AC- or CC fixation). We concluded a varying prevalence of osteoarthritis. However, based on available literature, treatment choice for acromioclavicular dislocation should not be influenced by the potential development of osteoarthritis.Full article:https://lnkd.in/e8SbbsZ9Daniel Verstift Faridi Jamaludin Bryan Hamans Michel van den Bekerom Lukas P.E.
