These homemade 4 Ingredient Creamy Fruit Popsicles are the healthier dessert we all need to have stashed away in our freezers this summer. Made simply with just four ingredients…creamy Greek yogurt, fruit jam, milk (of any variety, but I love coconut milk), and vanilla. It does not get any simpler. They’re extra creamy, so fruity, and so very delicious. These pops are everyone’s favorite…from kids to adults. The perfect summer snack or dessert to keep stocked in the freezer for the hottest days of the year.

Fruit popsicles! I feel like these are something new for me. I’ve never really ventured much into the frozen fruit dessert area. I’ve mostly stuck to either frozen chocolate treats or baked berry recipes when it comes to summertime desserts. But this year I am really excited to explore recipes I’ve never shared before.

I’ve said this before, but when it comes to creating new recipes I get bored very, very easily. If I feel like I’m creating something too similar to a recipe I’ve already shared I quickly lose interest. This summer I’m thinking about summer recipes I haven’t really touched upon. Frozen fruit desserts are definitely something I don’t have a lot of here on HBH.

Actually ice cream in general is really something I haven’t explored a ton. So expect lots of frozen treats this summer!

But back to these popsicles…don’t you just love their fun colors…and their creaminess!

When it comes to fruit popsicles, the icy ones are great. But I honestly see those as more of a slushy type dessert, good for a crazy hot day at the pool or on the lake. In terms of real-deal summer desserts, I want something frozen that’s very, very creamy. If it’s not going to be ice cream, it’s going to be the next closest thing.

Enter these popsicles, shockingly they have just four ingredients. They took me forever to create, but I’m so glad I did…they ended up being SO GOOD.

And the best part? They are so simple. You need absolutely nothing fancy to make these. Just a mixing bowl, yogurt, fruit jam, milk, and vanilla – that’s it.

Here are the details

As I mentioned, I didn’t want these fruit popsicles to be icy, I wanted them creamy. So instead of using just fruit, I used a mix of plain Greek yogurt and fruit jam. The yogurt and jam are really the secret ingredients here.

The yogurt obviously makes things creamy as can be. The jam adds just the right amount of sweetness while also providing ample berry flavor – and without adding any liquid like fresh fruit would.

And what I really love? Since you don’t have to blend the berries up, you don’t even have to dirty a blender to make these popsicles. Just one bowl.

Simply mix the yogurt with whatever fruit jam or jams you love most. I made four flavors, blackberry, raspberry, strawberry, and mango peach. You can mix and match or just stick to one fruit flavor.

Add milk or coconut milk to thin the mix out (I use coconut milk or heavy cream for an extra creamy popsicle…so delicious and makes them almost ice cream-like). Then add a splash of vanilla for great flavor.

Now we freeze

Divide the creamy fruit mixture between popsicle molds. I used these molds, but also used some paper Dixie Cups too. Actually, the Dixie Cups worked even better. Simply rip the cups off.

If you don’t have popsicle molds or Dixie Cups here’s another option. Spread the mix out into a square brownie pan, freeze, then cut into rectangles, insert popsicle sticks and freeze again.

I will say, if you plan on having an ice cream-filled summer, you should probably invest in some molds or Dixie cups…they’re fun!

So, why are these better than store-bought?

There are so many reasons…

Most importantly, these pops are actually creamy because they use real yogurt. They also use real fruit…well jam with real fruit, be sure to find a great high-quality jam. I LOVE The Little Market jams), and they’re made so much healthier without added sugar.

It’s summer, so we all could use a frozen creamy dessert to help get us through the mid-week slump. Plus, you need only 15 minutes to make these and there’s a good chance you have everything in your kitchen right now. These pops are perfect to keep in the freezer for an afternoon snack or late-night dessert.

It’s the first week of summer, so let’s do it up right!

Ingredients

Instructions

  • 1. In a bowl, stir together the yogurt, fruit jam, milk, and vanilla. Add additional milk, if needed to thin the mix if it feels too creamy.

    2. Evenly divide the mix between 6-8 Dixie cups or popsicles molds. I recommend Dixie cups over molds as the pops can be hard to remove from molds. Insert popsicle sticks. Freeze until firm, 4 hours or overnight. To make layered popsicles, pour 2-3 flavors into each mold. Keep in the freezer until ready to eat!

Notes

To Remove the Pops from the Molds:To remove the popsicles run the mold under hot water for 10 seconds and then pull the popsicles out of the molds.

If you Don’t Have a Popsicle Mold:just use paper dixie cups!
